“behind closed doors”-The hidden reality of child abuse in india

Child abuse is among the most serious abuses of human rights in India. A lot of children are still being abused physically, emotionally, or sexually even though the rule of law is very strict. Protecting children goes beyond legal obligations. It is a heartfelt responsibility shared by all members of the society.

Abuse against kids occurs across the country at homes, schools, childcare institutions, workplaces, and within communities. It includes sexual abuse, abduction, murder, and child marriage, among other crimes.

In 2022, India witnessed a staggering 8.7% increase in child abuse cases, reaching a total of 162,000 incidents, as reported by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).

Children's sexual abuse is a horrific, terrifying, shocking, cruel, and brutal crime. In spite of many penal laws and the recent POCSO Act, 2012, prescribing severe punishment for crimes against children, the news of rapes of toddlers rocks the nation every now and then. The number of such cases has increased from year to year.

NOW, THE QUESTION ARISE HOW CAN WE STOP THIS TERRIBLE TREND?
DEBATE OR END.... THINK ABOUT IT...

EVERY CHILD PROTECTED TODAY IS THE PRIDE OF OUR NATION TOMORROW...
