Today, after finishing college, I was waiting at the bus stand; at that time, a woman came running toward me with two children. Her husband was chasing them, he grabbed the children and pulled them. They started screaming. I was standing right there, I immediately took the woman and children to the police station at the bus stand.
During the police inquiry, the woman said that her husband is an alcoholic who physically abuses and tortures them daily. I asked her, 'Where are you from, and what have you studied?'
She replied that I didn't study. While I was a student, I fell in love with him, got married and lost my life. Now I am suffering with these children.
Hearing those words from her made me realise how vital education is for a woman. If she had studied well and had a job, why should this situation be hers? By not listening to her parents and failing to focus on her studies, she is the one who is suffering.
Education is absolutely essential for a woman.
It doesn't matter how wealthy your parents are or how much property they give you. No one can give you a treasure as valuable as education.
First focus on your studies and earn your own living. Do not depend on anyone for anything. This is your life, and you are the one who should decide how it should be lived.
